The Time Has Come!

This is the last post until we arrive in China. Please keep us in your prayers for safe travel, that we and Chloe will bond quickly, and that her medical condition will be minor, or better yet, no longer there! We will be leaving shortly for the airport and will fly to Houston, spend the night, then take off for Beijing tomorrow morning. So until then...

  7. This is Lesa, Mary's friend. She and Kevin have made it to Beijing, but can't post to the blog. I am trying from here to get it posted for her. I can't seem to get into her information so I can post on the blog for her. I will keep trying, but until then this is from Mary below:

    We Have Arrived...

Well, we are finally here. What a long, exhausting trip! Thankfully, I was able to sleep a couple of hours. We arrived here around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, which was 12:30 a.m. back home. We were met at the airport by our guide, Grace, and taken straight to our hotel. The flight didn't make me motion sick at all; however, the driver that brought us to the hotel made up for that! Let's just say the rules of the road here in Beijing are not the same as in Temple, TX! Our hotel is very nice. It's called Poly Plaza. We are advised not to drink the water, so we use bottled water to take medication, brush our teeth, etc. Tomorrow morning we start out at 9:00. Grace will meet us in the lobby and we will tour the Great Wall, The Forbidden City, and Tian En Men Square. We will post photos as soon as we can. Till tomorrow...
